The seasons are changing and the colder weather is around the corner. Shoppers are starting to scope out new items for the Fall. This is your reminder to offer something new, fresh and inspiring store experience for your customers to discover your amazing products. We know how much getting your store ready for the Fall season can be challenging and stressful. That’s why we made this article to guide you through the process and to be Fall ready! Here are our Top 5 Tips On How To Prepare Your Retail Shop For The FALL because we beLEAF in your retail’s success!

1.SWITCH UP YOUR STOREFRONT: A BEAUTIFUL STOREFRONT WILL MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS FALL FOR YOUR STORE!

Storefronts are super important, they catch the eye of passersby and get them into your business!! Fall is coming up, faster than you think and your store needs to be ready to change with the season! To switch up your storefront, you can add a few Fall-inspired items in your window displays such as colorful faux leaves, letter signs, tree stumps (these are perfect to use as risers) pumpkins, branches, squash, cornucopia or orange/brown props! You do not need to change your entire window set up just switch it up and add some Fall details, to Pumpkin Spice everything!

2. MARK DOWN YOUR SUMMER PRODUCTS: HELLO FALL, BUT DON’T FORGET YOUR SUMMER GOODIES!

This tip is often forgotten by a lot of retail owners. Fall is here but summer just ended, keep some of your summer products to allow your customers to see what you offer during other seasons. We recommend that you mark down these products because chances are the demand will decrease as the seasons are changing but, your customers might purchase your products for the upcoming year. If you have some bikinis, summer lotions, sunglasses, or other summer goodies, make sure to mark them down and keep them on display in one section of your store! Marking them down will also encourage your customers to buy them. This will allow you to better organize your space for your Fall items while showing your customers what you could offer them all year long.

3. REFRESH YOUR RETAIL STORE’S DESIGN: YOUR CUSTOMERS SHOULDN’T FORGET ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCE!

The outside of your store is important but so is your inside. Offering an amazing customer experience is very important for your store’s success’. That’s why when the seasons are changing we always suggest to our clients to switch things up in their store, whether it is your visual merchandising, fixtures or furniture, refresh your store one way or another. Whether you review your visual merchandising strategy, add pieces of decor, or plan a beautiful signature in-store fall event,  everything is good as long as your customer feels like there was a change that occurred in your space. This will allow him/her to get a better customer experience and to share it around!

4. TAKE THE TIME TO DO A FALL INVENTORY: TO NOT FALL IN THE HOLIDAY RUSH

New season means potential new customers so it’s the perfect time of the year to do a Fall inventory. This will allow you to reorder your best selling products, look at what has not been selling well and find new Autumn products to offer to your clients. Doing it now will also help you to not miss anything for the upcoming holiday season as a lot of manufacturers are really busy during that time of the year. Fall is all about slowly getting ready for the Holiday rush

5. BE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR STAFF: BECAUSE THEY ARE YOUR SQUASH GOAL!

Your customers are very important but so are your employees. During the Fall season, make sure to sit with them and give them feedback on how they’ve been doing and how they could improve! Your staff contribute greatly to the store experience. Be grateful for them. You can even ask them for some new ideas for the holidays, your employees are the best ones to know what could fit your brand. This will allow for great team harmony and a better customer experience.
